On your computer, open Chrome.

In the address bar, type


Sign in to your Google account. If you don't have one click here:


Once you sign in look for the wrench that says “Set up Remote Access,” click the Download arrow on the bottom. 


Follow the on-screen directions to download and install Chrome Remote Desktop. Click on "Add extension."


Click on the Accept and Install button.


If you get the Open File Security Warning click on the Run and Continue.


Under "This Device" Choose a name and enter a name for your Computer and then click on Next. 


Choose a Pin with at least 6 numbers and you will need this pin to connect to this computer remotely. 


Once you set up your computer click on the top on the Remote Support tab or in the address bar at the top, type, and press Enter. “ Under “Get Support,” select Generate Code.


​Generate the code and tell one of the highly trained YourOnlineGeek techs the code to access your computer. When one of our YourOnlineGeek Techs enter your access code on the site, you will see a dialog with their e-mail address. Select Share to allow them full access to your computer.

When one of our Techs is done we will end the support session and you can always at any time click on the session, click Stop Sharing. ​ The access code will only work one time. If you are sharing your computer, you will be asked to confirm that you want to continue to share your computer every 30 minutes. Otherwise, the tech will be disconnect and you will have to generate another code. ​ For your security, all remote desktop sessions are fully encrypted. ​ Stop a remote session at any time and if we don't fix it you don't pay. ​
